I just want to let you know that beginning Monday, Dec. 1 we will be open on Monday from 12-5 and also on Thursday evenings until 8 pm. I am frequently here way past 5 pm on most days so if the big black door is still open feel free to stop. Feel free to call before you head out if you want to make sure I will be open later than 5 pm on any given day. If I don't have plans, and lets face it, this is all I do anyway, I do try to stay later most nights!

Now that we have had time to settle into our new location it is time to prepare for our first holiday season in the yellow barn. Our holiday open house will begin at 5 pm on Friday, Nov. 7 and continue through the weekend during our regular hours. The shop will be decorated for the season and there will be door prizes, refreshments, and fun. We look forward to sharing this exciting time with you. The shop will be closed from Monday, Nov. 3 until 5 pm on Friday, Nov. 7 to deck the halls.

We have exciting news! The shop will be relocating later this month to a new location in Warren. While we weren't looking to move the business at this particular time many of you suggested that we consider moving to the old yellow barn at 384 Market St. (Highway 136) near the Warren-Swansea line. It has much better visibility, one of the highest traffic counts in this area, and is a charming space that also happens to have windows on all 4 sides that I can open!! It is air conditioned for those days when it really is necessary. For those of you that endured the unbearable temperature in my current location the weekend of the sale I had recently, you were such troopers! The thermostat here was off the chart and it was sweltering. You were all so nice though, which really impressed me. I guess it shouldn't have, I like to think I have some of the nicest, kindest customers around. The new location also has a lovely deck with "husband benches", plenty of parking, lots of natural light, and many other nice features.

With family flown in from as far as Florida and a rose presented to Terry by everyone she greeted it sure was a great way to celebrate turning 50.

"Treasure Hunt" in the October issue of Rhode Island Monthly magazine features Warren as a destination for shopping for the home. It says "Warren has a medley of shops featuring home-related items - something for every taste, style and budget." We'd have to agree!
